President Obama, The Precious Banks You Bailed-Out Are Destroying The Auto Business

August 31st, 2009 · 4 Comments

Our new president – faced with a depression-level economic collapse – has set aside 80,000+ returning troops from Iraq for “domestic emergencies.” If the banks refuse to loan money to small businesses, this recession is guaranteed to turn into a major depression, and 80,000 troops won’t scratch the surface in attempting to maintain order in the United States!

The Radicalization Of America By GOP Operatives And America’s Future, Part 1

August 13th, 2009 · 1 Comment

Today, I received a link to my site from Hope2012, a website that points out the many infractions of our constitutional rights and the ongoing spying on Americans by our own government. Now, the Obama administration wants to install tracking cookies on government websites. I have always been a strong critic of the government spying on American citizens, however, today I am engaging in an abrupt about face – and I’ll explain my rationale for supporting limited spying on American citizens.

“When you grow up on a farm in Georgia, your first girlfriend is a mule.”

May 1st, 2009 · 1 Comment

politics in the State of Georgia can be strange – and after reading one of Raw Story’s lead headlines this morning, I’m compelled to stand-up for my fellow Georgian’s and make a few things clear. No, “When you grow up on a farm in Georgia, your first girlfriend is (not) a mule!” Obviously, this statement does not apply to all of Georgia’s young men who grew-up on a farm, and even to suggest that bestiality is common-place in Georgia is an insult to thousands that participate in small-town Georgia, where farming and community based projects are a way of life. I don’t believe that those who choose to have sex with animals is any more prevalent than in other farming communities – and to suggest otherwise is a feeble attempt to justify ones personal behavior that “aberrant” only begins to explain…

Are We Witnessing The Birth Of A Pandemic? Updated

April 25th, 2009 · 1 Comment

Because of the situation, the World Health Organization planned to consider raising the world pandemic flu alert to 4 from 3. Such a high level of alert — meaning that sustained human-to-human transmission of a new virus has been detected — has not been reached in recent years, even with the H5N1 avian flu circulating in Asia and Egypt, and would “really raise the hackles of everyone around the world,” said Dr. Robert G. Webster, a flu virus expert at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis.

American Protectionism – 30 Years Too Late

March 13th, 2009 · 1 Comment

“Institutions have a way of evolving over time – after a few years they no longer resemble the originals. Early in the twenty-first century the United States is no more like the America of 1776 than the Vatican under the Borgia popes was like Christianity at the time of the Last Supper, or Microsoft in 2005 is like the company Bill Gates started in his garage.”

Revisiting NAFTA

February 13th, 2009 · 2 Comments

Research indicates that from 1979 through 2007 some 20.3 million manufacturing jobs have been lost in the US. Some of this loss can be attributed to normal fallout as a result of typical business cycles, but research indicates that 38 percent or 7.6 million – which I suspect is a conservative estimate – of those 20.3 million jobs were lost as a consequence of outsourcing and off-shoring.

Free Trade Is A Misnomer; So-Called Protectionism Is A Matter of Self Survival

February 12th, 2009 · 13 Comments

Opting to outsource our light and heavy manufacturing, from the very beginning was destined to destroy our economy and turn us into a “service-based” economy”, which we now know has destroyed the “American Dream” for millions of our citizens and has effectively destroyed our Middle-class.

US Has Been Torturing Our Own Citizens, Including Children, For Decades

January 22nd, 2009 · 2 Comments

The subject of torture has been a sore spot for me, and because of personal embarrassment, I have written little on the subject except for an article written in 2005 that has remained buried in the archives. The time for avoiding this subject has come to its end, and to start-off the commentary, I am raising from the dead an article that was written before I became fairly well known – and I’ve kept it buried on purpose. One out of nine adults in the United States has been incarcerated or on parole or probation, and 35 years ago, I was not the person I am today, and like millions of other Americans, I have attempted to forget what happened over thirty (30) years ago. My decision to “come clean” is based on the government’s propensity to violate the Geneva Convention and the social value it can provide for those that have little or no knowledge of the Criminal (in)Justice System that is claiming innocent lives on American Soil.

Arrest Michael Reagan And Apply US Law Equally – Inciting Murder Is A Crime!

June 20th, 2008 · 3 Comments

The right-wing is getting away with murder, figuratively speaking, and if some nut-case takes Michael Reagan at his word, it will be literal rather than figurative; We are supposed to be a nation of laws, and to allow right-wing radio hosts, Michael Reagan to be exact, to call for the murders of “911 Truthers” is [...]
