I noted that Pat Robertson was in Israel, expressing his “love” for Israel and support thereof; however, when you look in-depth as to his rationale, and those of similar mindsets, i.e., Rick Warren, Jerry Falwell, Dr. James Dobson, etc., a pattern evolves that indicates their actions in support of Israel are not because they really “love” Israel, but because they believe that the current Middle-Eastern crisis is a sign of the “End of Days”. Evangelical Christians all over the United States are reveling in the death and destruction that is currently occurring, and to me, singing Hallelujahs and rejoicing in the misery of others is hypocritical and demonstrates how dangerous these people actually are!

I keep hearing about this “War against Christianity” that the above named individuals, among others, are claiming is being waged against them, but a closer examination of the facts indicate that the real “War” is actually being waged by Evangelical Christians against the rest of the United States and other parts of the world. These highly “moral” and “religious” people are attempting to influence world events – actually trying to bring on Armageddon in the mistaken belief they will be whisked away during the “Rapture,” while the rest of us are destined to live in misery and will suffer the wrath of the Antichrist (sic) and God if we don’t embrace their peculiar and perverted philosophy of the second coming of Christ.

These groups are doing their best to operate “under the radar” by their own admission, attempting to draw as little attention to their cause and ultimate goals; just as Islam has been hijacked by radicals, it appears that a similar and possibly even more dangerous movement is happening here, right under our noses. Radical is radical, Islam or Christian, and I believe that the key to helping quell this movement is to bring them out in the open; challenge their ideology and their attempts to expand the war in the Middle-East and warn your neighbor(s). I have talked to mainstream Christians and read several articles written by them – and they are alarmed as well!

The Armageddon Script

Armageddon: It seems it’s on everyone’s minds these days. But what exactly are evangelical Christians expecting, and why should you care? Norio Hayakawa takes a look today at the “Strange End-Times Beliefs Of Some ‘Evangelical’ Christians.” He says this group of Christians has a “huge” influence on the Bush Administration, and that these “Christian Zionists” “not only support Israel in its totality, but also even seem to welcome an all-out War in the Middle East to ‘hasten’ (or ‘accelerate’) the climate for the realization of ‘end-time’ events long prophesied.”

Fundamentalist Christians (such as Baptists, especially the Southern Baptists, Pentecostals, such as the Assemblies of God, Foursquare Churches, Full Gospel Churches, and all other denominations of the so-called “born-again”, “Evangelical” beliefs), believed that the generation that would witness the re-establishment of Israel would also be the generation that would witness the Second Coming of Jesus and the consequent establishment of His Millennial Reign on earth from Israel.

The re-establishment of the State of Israel occurred in 1948. But it was not until 1957 that Israel actually occupied Jerusalem for the first time in more than 2000 years. Thus, these Christians believe the return of Christ will happen very soon. In fact, with a biblical generation equaling 40 years, many expect Jesus will return next year. Of course, if you consider that some also believe the present calendar system is off by five years, then we are actually looking for his return by 2012. (Interestingly, that is the year the Mayan calendar ends.)

Randi Rhodes has this week been voicing an interesting theory that the Neocons are following the biblical prophecies on purpose. That would mean that the prophecies are, at least to some degree, self-fulfilling, certainly something that is worth considering. If biblical prophecy is the script behind current events, it would be wise for us to know what evangelical “Christian Zionists” expect will happen next.

First will be a huge war between Israel and the Islamic world, led by Russia. Israel will win, but it will take seven years to bury all the dead. MORE

I’ll admit that even I was shocked that Pat Robertson had the gall to “warn” President Bush not to interfere in the status quo of Israel’s politics – another nut-case that is bent on Armageddon, and seems pleased to happily usher it in! During his press conference in Israel, based on his beaming smile and exuberance, it’s obvious that he is happy as a pig in slop at the crisis in the Middle-East. I find that mentality disgusting, as should anyone in their right mind. The IRS needs to strip Robertson and those of his ilk of their tax-exempt status! Unfortunately, my fear is that Bush, as usual, will cave-in to political, financial, and religious pressure rather than what is good for the people – a hallmark of his corrupt administration.

Robertson Warns Bush Not to Compromise on Jerusalem

Michele Chabin

JERUSALEM (RNS) Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson has warned President Bush that any attempt to change the political status quo in Jerusalem would mean the loss of evangelical support at the ballot box.

Speaking at a press conference Monday, Robertson insisted that Bush must not cave in to international pressure to make half of Jerusalem the capital of a future Palestinian state. He was in Israel as the guest of the International Christian Embassy, a pro-Israel evangelical organization.

Robertson said that “the president has backed away from” the peace plan known as the “Road Map” but if he were to touch Jerusalem, “he’d lose all evangelical support.”

The Palestinians claim eastern Jerusalem as its capital, while Israel insists that both eastern and western parts of the city must remain under Israeli sovereignty, as they have been since 1967. Robertson and other evangelicals, sometimes called “Christian Zionists,” quote Old Testament Scriptures as a mandate from God to support Israel.

They consider any deviation from that support at odds with God’s plan.

Rather than vote Democrat, the evangelist said, pro-Israel Christians would “form a third party” if Bush softened his support of Israel. Exit polls have shown evangelical Christians heavily favoring Republicans in recent presidential elections. MORE

I am still amazed at the zeal with which these wing-nuts are pursuing the End of Days, and I do take exception with their beliefs and methods. I have three children, two with families, and I take it quite personally that among us here in the land of freedom and liberty exists a movement that actually desires a full-scale war in the Middle-East. All of you that care about the future should worry; these people are hell-bent on accomplishing their agenda, and just like the radical Islamists – they too sincerely believe in their cause, making them even more dangerous. If we take exception with radical Islam and their danger to humanity, then I suggest that closer scrutiny of these radical evangelicals is also warranted – and it’s time to bring them up on the radar, something they dread and attempt to hide as well as they can.

I also have a question for all of those that practice this radical form of Christianity! If you truly believe in the Antichrist, his supposed charm and ability to garner support, then why isn’t it feasible that said Antichrist could appear on the pulpit right before you? Do you know for sure, or are you being beguiled, led astray, and simply are pawns in their relentless quest for power and money? Show me a successful Evangelical Preacher and I’ll in turn show you a wealthy man – so where is the humble servant of God? I believe it’s food for thought, and those that are making extremely wealthy men out of those that preach doom and gloom under the guise of Christianity should take a step back and really look deep into their beliefs, as what they preach is actually contrary to what is written in the Bible. Don’t let a fictional set of books, the “Left Behind” series, guide your beliefs and actions. Instead, go to a real Christian church – and there you might find wisdom along with your faith.

This last article I found on Liberalsonly.com which was posted by one of their members; after you read it, you have to ask yourselves who will actually be “Left Behind?” It only goes to show that despite their judgment of others and living in their ivory towers, Evangelical Christians are people, just like you and I. I think it’s high time they come back to earth and join the rest of the rational Christians and throw-off those whom attempt to steal their money and minds.

ChristiaNet Poll Finds That Evangelicals Are Addicted to Porn

HOUSTON, TX — (MARKET WIRE) — August 07, 2006 — If there could be one place protected from the cancerous infection of pornography and sexual misconducts, one would assume that the Christian church would be that sanctuary. But, recent research is revealing that no one is immunized against the vice-grip clutches of sexual addictive behaviors. The people who struggle with the repeated pursuit of sexual gratification include church members, deacons, staff, and yes, even clergy. And, to the surprise of many, a large number of women in the church have become victim to this widespread problem. Recently, the world’s most visited Christian website, ChristiaNet.com, conducted a survey asking site visitors eleven questions about their personal sexual conduct. (http://www.christianet.com)

Amazingly, there were one thousand responses to the poll conducted by ChristiaNet.com. ChristiaNet.com partnered with Second Glance Ministries in evaluating the poll responses and it seems the Christian community is struggling with many of the same “temptations” that the secular society is faced with.

“The poll results indicate that 50% of all Christian men and 20% of all Christian women are addicted to pornography,” said Clay Jones, founder and President of Second Glance Ministries whose ministry objectives include providing people with information which will enable them to fully understand the impact of today’s societal issues. 60% of the women who answered the survey admitted to having significant struggles with lust; 40% admitted to being involved in sexual sin in the past year; and 20% of the church-going female participants struggle with looking at pornography on an ongoing basis.

“There have been dynamic paradigm shifts in the behavior of Christians over the last four years,” explained Jones. “Technology [the Internet] has allowed pornography to flood the market place beyond a controllable level.” Jones’ ministry also includes providing Christian intervention programs for churches and for individuals. All of Second Glance Ministries’ services are free and recipients may remain anonymous.

“We directed over 100,000 inquiries to Second Glance Ministries in one year,” stated ChristiaNet.com’s President, Bill Cooper. “We are seeing an escalation to the problem in both men and women who regularly attend church.” ChristiaNet.com is committed to addressing the devastating consequences that sexual addictions can have on a family and society by providing a safe environment for blogging discussions and referrals. JAC I would just happen to be one of those Christian Zionists you are so afraid of. I don’t think you fully understand where we are coming from. Our loyalty to Israel stems from the Abrahamic Covenent where God said he would bless those who bless the descendants of Abraham and curse those who curse them. The descendants God (Yahweh) is referring to are the Children of Isaac and Jacob (i.e. the Jews). I strongly believe that the blessing of God rests on America because of its steadfast support of the nation of Israel. Israel is God’s Divine Inheritance, his vineyard, and Jerusalem is the apple of his eye, and in some cases he likens Jerusalem to his bride much like Christ does with his Church.

Zionism is not just a political ideology created by Theodore Herzl from the late 19th-century….it was a theological concept straight from the Torah itself especially in the books of Jeremiah and Lamentations. Zionism is a call for God’s chosen people to be reunited to the land he gave them from their flight from Pharoah. So Evangelical support of Israel is steeped in divine decree. I know you don’t subscribe to such thinking, but I assure you it is mainstream Christian thought and not radical as you are saying. I’m just a country boy from Kentucky and I believe in this as do many other Southern Baptist country folk. So all I’m saying is that Christian-Zionism is a fancy label for folks who understand the importance of Israel in God’s plans for the world.

In my interaction with Christianet.com, there are many people on the blog site from a variety of religions and denominations. I didn’t take the survey, and now wish I had just to see what the questions were that this conclusion would be reached. Maybe one of the questions was, “Have you ever watched a movie past the PG rating”? If that is the kind of questioning, then any conclusion could be made. I’m not sure. I did not find many people on Christianet to be grounded in scripture, and those who were got their heads bashed in. Therefore, my conclusion would be, no, the True Body of Christ is not into pornography.

I find this to be a slander against God’s true people. Not all who say they are a Christian are really saved. If Christianet didn’t run off the Spiritual Christians, they may have come out with a different persentage.

We are going to be presented without spot or wrinkle. The Lord knows who are His, and He lives and breathes in each one.

    God Bless,
    Lawrence

I find it incomprehensible that anyone would manipulate world events to bring biblical prophecies to quick fulfillment. I don’t doubt that there are misguided fanatics alive who are carrying out such things. If that be the case and it probably is. These people will be hastening the appearance of the anti-christ. My questions are these. Which christ are these people really rushing to bring to the world scene? Which God are they serving? The true and the living God or the false gods? Which christ are they really working and looking for. Jesus Christ or the anti-christ?

God will fulfill prophecy in His own time and in His own way. Sadly most people seem to be fulfilling the prophecies of destruction (to themselves and others) rather than for the salvation of humanity. There’s an old saying about the pot calling the kettle black. It seems that there are lots of people condemning and judging others when they are guilty of the same sins and trespasses themselves. Here’s one bible verse that perfectly describes phony christians:

For certain men have crept in stealthily (gaining entrance secretly by a side door). Their doom was predicted long ago, ungodly (impious, profane) persons who pervert the grace (the spiritual blessing and favor) of our God into lawlessness and wantonness and immorality, and disown and deny our sold Master and Lord, Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One). Jude verse 4, Amplified Bible Version.

Will I listen to or support (in any manner) wolves in sheep’s clothing? No! Will I allow myself to be led straight to hell by false prophets and false pastors? The answer is no. I don’t need their help. I can live a lost and a defeated live, end up in hell without anyone’s help. I can live a screwed up life with a screwed up mind without their assistance. I can continue to serve God in spirit and in truth without the confusion from others that are misguided about almost everything. My walk with God is my responsibility alone to begin with. And one can truly serve and love God and their fellowman without wrecking and destroying the lives of others whether or not they agree with you.
