As usual, Fox News (sic) is at it again, taking a real news story and “spinning” it to fit their own demented political ideology – or should I say the White House’s ideology, as we all know that “Faux News” is “The Republican Learning Channel” and one of the many propaganda arms of President Bush/Cheney. This time it was particularly disgusting as they attempted to align Osama Bin Laden with the Democrats and the “left” in the United States:
FOX News attempts to connect Osama bin Laden with American left and Democrats
09/08/2007 @ 3:30 pm
Filed by RAW STORYTwo YouTube videos feature segments of Fox News’ Hannity and Colmes, featuring a total of four guests appearing to offer comment on the recent video released by what appears to be Osama bin Laden. The guests and co-host Sean Hannity work towards connecting bin Laden’s speech to the current tone among the Democrats.
In the first video, former Bush Chief of Staff Andrew Card finds it “outrageous” that the video has been released to coincide with the anniversary of the World Trade Center attacks of 9/11/2001.
“He’s taunting America again,” says Card, “and he’s calling for us to take action that is obscene, and I can’t believe that there are people in Congress that will actually follow the direction of a sworn enemy of this country rather than take the direction of the person sworn to defend the country, the President of the United States.”
“I don’t think that we should view all of his threats with great credibility,” continues Card, “…but we should definitely take it seriously.”
“We’ve had to battle fascism and Nazism and communism and totalitarianism,” says host Sean Hannity, “and I view this as modern-day Nazism; and he really reveals the twisted ideology that he supports.” (Please note the two video’s referenced herein are available for your perusal in this article.) CNN is running a story that states the voice imprint has been identified as that of Bin Laden, however, after reading through many of the Internet discussion forums and comments on two alternative news sites, there are many who believe the person in the video is not Bin Laden, but more of the U.S. propaganda machine – and worded in a way that if Democrats do work even harder to end the Iraq War, that somehow they would be supporting Al Qaeda and Bin Laden!
Official: Voice on video belongs to bin Laden
* NEW: Bush says tape is a reminder that Iraq is part of the war against extremists
* Initial analysis confirms voice is that of al Qaeda leader, official says
* Bin Laden tape questions power of Democratic majority
* The anniversary of the September 11, 2001, attacks is TuesdayWASHINGTON (CNN) — Early analysis indicates the voice on a recently released videotape is that of Osama bin Laden, a U.S. official said Friday, as President Bush called the tape “a reminder of the dangerous world in which we live.”
A transcript of the video, obtained by CNN, shows it contains no overt threats toward the United States. Some date references, including a mention of Democrats gaining the majority in Congress, may indicate the tape is new.
In the tape, bin Laden calls the Iraq war “unjust” and blames it — and a host of the world’s other ills — on capitalism. VideoWatch a segment of the tape »
“Iraq and Afghanistan and their tragedies; and the reeling of many of you under the burden of interest-related debts, insane taxes and real estate mortgages; global warming and its woes; and the abject poverty and tragic hunger in Africa; all of this is but one side of the grim face of this global system,” he said. MORE
If you watched CNN’s, “The Situation Room” before the tape was even released, several interesting comments were made in that segment, however when you begin adding it all up, there’s something entirely wrong with our intelligence when they seem to brush-off the video as simply more propaganda from Bin Laden and Al Qaeda:
There was no “credible information” about any imminent threat to the United States, said Russ Knocke, a spokesman for the Department of Homeland Security.
“The National Intelligence Estimate cited increases in activity overseas, and we’re mindful of the recent arrests in Europe,” he said. “There has also been an uptick in propaganda tapes and messages coming from al Qaeda and affiliated networks over the past year.”
Any videotape from al Qaeda would be nothing more than propaganda, said National Security Adviser Fran Townsend, speaking on CNN’s “The Situation Room.” (Emphasis added.)
The ad includes a photograph of bin Laden with a completely black beard, although it was most recently seen streaked with gray.“I think it works for [al Qaeda's] benefit that he looks young, he looks healthy,” said Rita Katz, director of SITE (Search for International Terrorist Entities) Intelligence Group, according to The Associated Press. She said bin Laden’s beard may have been dyed, the AP reported. MORE
One fact the tape demonstrates is that wherever Bin Laden is hiding, he has extremely good access to world news and events, and none who have read the transcript can deny that Bin Laden has studied the United States and world politics – even to the point where he correctly identifies those who are attempting to prolong the war are “Neo-cons”, and his assessment that global corporatism is the root of many of the world’s ills is spot-on, and that fact alone seemed to infuriate Bush’s former Chief of Staff, Andrew Card; It almost seems that Bin Laden has computer access and has been reading our (U.S.) alternative news and commentary sites and seems to be acutely aware of our internal strife and politics. Bin Laden stated very clearly what the “left” and Progressive/Liberal commentators such as myself have been stating for years – which the Mainstream News Media never seems to report upon – that it isn’t “the people” who control the United States, but rather her largest corporations and the ultra-wealthy dynasty families, which is the very definition of fascism!
Is it really Bin Laden? Personally, I don’t know, and only those within our intelligence services actually know that truth, but nevertheless, there’s a lot of speculation it’s not him, and on WhatReallyHappened.com, I found this remark which is 95% true:
Osama bin Laden – The Latest Fake
Updated.Dying one’s beard is strictly forbidden under Islamic law. Any devout (Sunni) Muslim would be aghast at an image of a purported spokesperson with a dyed beard. It’s okay to tint it with henna (only), but in that case gray hair appears orange. Pakistan is full of guys sporting huge orange beards, but there is no market whatsoever for Grecian formula, at least not among the Wahhabis.
So the story about the new Osama dying his hair doesn’t work. – M. R. LINK
The part that is true is that a truly devout (Sunni) muslim man, especially one who was the commander of Al Qaeda – would never dye his beard, but keep in mind that this is a time of war or “Jihad” to Al Qaeda – and with that in mind, I believe Homeland Security is off by a mile! I don’t know if the man in the image is Bin Laden or an actor, but if it really is Bin Laden – and I believe it is, then I predict an attack against the United States is imminent, or if not on the homeland itself, several well-coordinated attacks on American assets in other parts of the world!
Why do I take this position when the government says it’s nothing but propaganda, especially in consideration that no overt threats were made? First, a wily adversary like Al Qaeda doesn’t advertise “when” they are going to attack, and while our terrorism experts imply that Bin Laden’s dyed beard is nothing more than a curiosity, I believe it’s a “signal” that is readily visible to anyone within Al Qaeda; I’ll admit I don’t have any evidence to back-up my suspicion, but we all know Bin Laden is an extremely devout Muslim, and if it’s really him, there must be a significant reason that transcends our knowledge of Sunni Muslim traditions – and a secret signal to his followers may be enough of a reason to defy established tradition, much like the September 11th terrorists that partied in a Strip-Club the night before the attack; like they say, all is fair in love and war…
Finally, as we hear Andy Card and the Fox “spin machine” talking about Al Qaeda’s apparent reemergence as a viable fighting force, you will note that all of them fail to mention that when we initially won the War in Afghanistan, instead of pressing forward and finishing off the Taliban and Al Qaeda for good, President Bush decided it was prudent to attack a nation that posed no significant threat to the United States – and rather than finishing the job, it was the Neo-cons who allowed Al Qaeda to regroup, and unfortunately, it will be you and I who ultimately face the folly of a President and staff who allowed greed and politics to interfere with the health and welfare of its own citizens, as well as letting-down the rest of the world who joined-in the Iraq War, and then too suffered terrible attacks sponsored by Al Qaeda. And we wonder why our allies are abandoning us…

UPDATE:
Is This Another “Bring It On” Challenge From Bush To Al Qaeda?
The White House has released another statement in regard Bin Laden’s most recent Video, and while I initially believed the video was really that of Bin Laden, now I’m unsure; Either Bush knows that the person in the video IS NOT Bin Laden, or Bush has forgotten his statement when in May of 2006, where he admitted his “Bring it On” statement of July, 2003 LINK , wasn’t his most brilliant moment – and stated “I learned some lessons about expressing myself maybe in a little more sophisticated manner.”
Reporter: Mr. President, you spoke about missteps and mistakes in Iraq. Could I ask both of you which missteps and mistakes of your own you most regret?
Bush: Sounds like kind of a familiar refrain here. Saying “bring it on.” Kind of tough talk, you know, that sent the wrong signal to people. But I learned some lessons about expressing myself maybe in a little more sophisticated manner. You know, “wanted dead or alive.” That kind of talk. I think in certain parts of the world it was misinterpreted. And so I learned from that. You know, I think the biggest mistake that’s happened so far, at least from our country’s involvement in Iraq, is Abu Ghraib. We’ve been paying for that for a long period of time. Unlike Iraq, however, under Saddam, the people who committed those acts were brought to justice. They’ve been given a fair trial, been tried, and convicted. LINK
Based on those statements and the most recent statements from the White House just yesterday – It’s apparent that President Bush hasn’t learned anything and we are now facing another “Bring it On” moment in history, even as recent attacks have demonstrated that Al Qaeda is still a viable world threat:
Bin Laden powerless despite new video: White House
Excerpts:
A new video by Osama bin Laden shows the Al-Qaeda mastermind as an “impotent” figurehead who poses little imminent threat to the United States, a top White House official said Sunday.
“This is about the best he can do. This is a man on the run from a cave who is virtually impotent other than these tapes.
But even some Republicans take issue with the downplaying of bin Laden, accusing the US government of bungling the hunt for the Al-Qaeda leader in the years after its invasion of Afghanistan in late 2001.
White House contender John McCain said bin Laden remains “a great danger.” MUCH MORE
I sincerely doubt that Algeria believes Al Qaeda is “impotent” as they are still reeling from Al Qaeda attacks that killed at least 57 people over the past two (2) days:
Al Qaeda claims Algeria attacks in Web statement
Sun Sep 9, 2007 3:05PM EDTBy Lamine Chikhi
DELLYS, Algeria (Reuters) – Al Qaeda’s north Africa wing said it was behind two suicide attacks that killed at least 57 people in Algeria in the past two days, according to a statement posted on the Internet on Saturday.
It said the al Qaeda Organisation in the Islamic Maghreb was behind Saturday’s suicide truck bombing at a coast guard barracks east of Algiers and an attack in the town of Batna less than 48 hours earlier. A total of 57 people were killed in the two attacks.
The statement said President Abdelaziz Bouteflika was originally the intended target of the bomb in Batna, 430 km (270 miles) southeast of Algiers, but the bomber was forced detonate his device prematurely after being discovered shortly before a scheduled visit by the Algerian leader.
The bomber blew himself up among a crowd waiting to see Bouteflika, killing 20 people. MUCH MORE
As you witness for yourselves the arrogance once again being exhibited by the White House in regard Al Qaeda, in which they are practically daring Bin Laden and Al Qaeda to attack the United States – I still stand firm on my belief that if it is Bin Laden in that video, President Bush has raised the ante considerably and essentially dared Bin Laden to attack the Untied States with another asinine burst of arrogance that could ultimately goad Bin Laden and Al Qaeda to prove they’re not “impotent” by striking our homeland in response to Bush’s challenge and childish machismo that could easily lead to disaster! We need to ask ourselves why the President is goading Al Qaeda, especially when it could once again endanger American lives through his sheer arrogance and stupidity!

The next company we’re extremely proud to recommend is “The Survival Center.” they too have been in continuous operation since the early 1970’s – and their owner, known as “Uncle Richard”, is an author, lecturer, and frequent talk show guest.

The very first product I recommend purchasing from “The Survival Center” is inexpensive, and is a publication entitled “Basic Preparedness.” The book “Basic Preparedness” is a how-to manual that almost takes readers by the hand and leads them through the basic steps of preparedness for most any emergency that may come their way. This one book covers the basics plus more. The first four basics for successful survival are 1. Food, 2. Water, 3. Medical and 4. Shelter. This easy to read how-to book addresses all of these needs in the first four chapters with easy to understand, simple instructions.
Then the following chapters cover the basics of shelter, grain usage & storage, food processing, home steading, alternative energy, self-defense & sovereignty for a self-sufficient life style plus an index and glossary.

You can order this inexpensive, albeit invaluable publication that will open-your-eyes, and allow you to make an informed decision in regard what is right or wrong for your particular family unit or business, and will undoubtedly save you money in the long-run, as an educated buyer is a smart buyer!
