Foxconn’s Tycoon CEO Pledges Increasing Workers Depression Era Wages

Foxconn's Tycoon Chairman Gou acknowledges that even “salaries in Brazil are higher” than in China, and pledges to keep increasing wages. While on the campaign trail, when politicians promise to “bring America back” and “bring jobs back to America” they are making old world promises that no longer apply in a globalized one world economy. And they know it. Globalization has been and continues to be a corporate and bipartisan project.

The IRS Is Targeting Poor Families That Use TurboTax And Other Low Cost Alternatives To File Their Taxes

This year, especially if you're in the Deep South, the IRS is targeting extremely poor families that use the cheapest method of filing their taxes such as TurboTax and other similar low-cost alternatives to H&R Block and other large Tax Preparation services to file their taxes. Our eyes and ears indicate that Waitresses and other low-income individuals whom have been claiming the Earned Income Tax Credit (EIC) for their children or other family members that are legal to claim within the Tax Code are now being audited and are being forced to provide mountains of data to the IRS in order to receive their refunds - and because of the enormous amount of paperwork that has to be submitted and the IRS advising people who call-in questioning whether they have submitted exactly what they require - and given answers that will automatically result in the denial of the EIC, will result in hundreds of thousands, or even millions of families that will be screwed out of their EIC because of a mistake by the IRS that opened-up the IRS to massive fraud;

Will Foxconn & Apple Deliver on Promises?

Apple and Foxconn recently announced an agreement to improve wages and working conditions at factories accused of being sweatshops. But will Foxconn, under scrutiny for labor violations for several years, deliver on their promises? Foxconn has 1 million workers and China’s toy manufacturers have 4 million workers that primarily manufacture American brands earning about $1.20 per hour. Reflecting back on history, the battle to standardize global working conditions and wages will prove a long one for sure. Meanwhile factory workers in the U.S earn from $8.15 to $17.86 an hour. Basic math alone should dispel the myth that American companies don’t outsource for cheaper labor…

MSM Is Not Covering Issues Vital To The People – CNN Down 50% In Total Viewers & Fox Down 17%

The viewer exodus is not limited to CNN, though. Roger Ailes' aging heavyweight champion FOX News "was not immune to a loss in viewership for the month of March and for the first quarter of 2012. For the month, Fox News is down -17%," according to another post by Ariens. Perhaps, if I may be so bold, this is what happens to you when you continue to report stories that no longer resemble -- even remotely -- what your own viewers see outside their windows and apartments.

The GOP’s Budget Plan Will Make The Obama Conundrum A Reality – The Only Solution Is To Vote Every One Of Them Out Of Office

House Republicans further threaten the middle class by rewarding companies for sending American jobs overseas. They want to revive the outsourcing loopholes that Democrats, including myself, have fought hard to close. These loopholes would exempt overseas profits from taxes, creating a greater incentive to relocate investments to other countries and leaving more of the tax burden to our middle class.

Porn Stars, Proms, And The Best Web Comment Of The Year Describes The US Congress Perfectly

On RAW Story, there's an article and comments that supersede anything I've had the pleasure to laugh about ever since I began reading and breathing politics. Here's a short excerpt of the Story - and the two comments I've included should make your day with a good dose of laughter, even though it's at our own expense...

The Obama Conundrum And The Impossible Task of Trying To Exact Truth And Clarity From A Professional Politician

This is the Obama conundrum, and whether he's just a professional politician whose rhetoric and campaign promises mean nothing or simply an inexperienced President that screwed-up his first term by refusing to listen to his base, there is no concrete evidence that anything has changed since the last election cycle. Until President Obama answers these questions in public and provides answers that are true, factually correct and a plan to combat the inevitable GOP Obstructionism that we know will instantly materialize once the election is over, notwithstanding GOP threats of Economic Terrorism and their war on working-class America - I can't see where reelecting President Obama makes any sense what-so-ever.

Why Did The United States Allow Israel To Covertly Recruit Terrorists Using The CIA’S Name For Their War Against Iran?

No matter what segment of the news that Americans attempt to read, we are constantly assailed with Israel beating the War Drums against Iran, all the while expecting (demanding?) the United States to step-in and save their nation if Israel decides to attack Iran unilaterally. The War agenda appears to be gaining momentum - even more so then when we had an ignorant Texan as President whom did his best to destroy our economy and constitution - and Bush, without even being able to speak the English language correctly somehow bought, bribed, threatened and cajoled the GOP to follow his mission of destruction to our Civil Liberties and even the way that we live - now several notches below what it used to be...

Corporate/Elitist Welfare vs. Personal Welfare – An In-Depth Analysis

A glaring contradiction exists in which some conservatives take issue with welfare for the needy but not for the wealthy or corporations…they hate these programs because they believe they create freeloaders and that people should fend for themselves, except for the wealthy and corporations of course… Consequently their mantra is welfare creates freeloaders and demand the programs be cut…but seldom do they demand cuts to subsidies that benefit the wealthy and corporations nor even acknowledge the existence of the corporate welfare system.

The Government Believes You Might Be A Domestic Terrorist If….

It seems that our government has drastically expanded its definition of Domestic Terrorism to include some of the most common practices that millions of Americans engage in on an everyday basis. This is tyranny and subversion of our Constitution and Bill of Rights and all of us should be righteously outraged at the government's meddling in our personal lives.
