Bush Is Destroying America, And Congress & The MSM Continue To Enable His Criminal Administration!

Unfortunately, due to the complicity of the Mainstream News Media, America is at a crossroads – one that most citizens aren’t even aware of; our MSM is run by corporate interests, and even though some reporters would give anything to tell us the truth, they are stifled from reporting the real news by their corporate masters. We have one or two reporters that deserve the Medal of Freedom for their honesty and tenacity, like Keith Olbermann for instance – but his audience is too small to make a real difference, and the news I’m speaking of should dominate the media, in print , on the radio and on all of the nightly news reports, but instead, what we hear are bits and pieces of so-called news that fail to sound the alarm that America is dying, not a slow death, but our economy is close to a complete collapse, and if Bush and Cheney have their way, World War III could begin at any moment. Yes, it’s that serious, yet the MSM refuses to tell Americans the truth, traitors and cowards for refusing to honor their own beliefs in journalism and protecting the freedom and democracy that a “free press” traditionally provided to its subscribers. The framers of our constitution understood that a free press was essential to the survival of our democracy, and even on our own government’s website, these words are immortal and as true today as when our constitution was first written:

— C H A P T E R 4 —
Freedom of the Press

Congress shall make no law . . . abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press?.
— First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution

Although a cherished right of the people, freedom of the press is different from other liberties of the people in that it is both individual and institutional. It applies not just to a single person’s right to publish ideas, but also to the right of print and broadcast media to express political views and to cover and publish news. A free press is, therefore, one of the foundations of a democratic society, and as Walter Lippmann, the 20th-century American columnist, wrote, “A free press is not a privilege, but an organic necessity in a great society.” Indeed, as society has grown increasingly complex, people rely more and more on newspapers, radio, and television to keep abreast with world news, opinion, and political ideas. One sign of the importance of a free press is that when antidemocratic forces take over a country, their first act is often to muzzle the press.

Thomas Jefferson, on the necessity of a free press (1787)

The basis of our government being the opinion of the people, the very first object should be to keep that right; and were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers, or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter.

http://usinfo.state.gov/products/pubs/rightsof/press.htm

Without a free press, and I mean a news media that fulfills the obligation to our constitution who understand they are one of the first lines of defense against tyranny and despotism, liberty and democracy will not survive! When “the people” are no longer are aware of the truth, and are fed lies and propaganda under the guise of it being “news”, it is impossible to hold-on to a democracy and the very essence of liberty and freedom – the spirit and principles which caused this great nation to be founded.

Our press has been compromised, and now the only thing left to save our country is the people themselves – and to accomplish this seemingly impossible feat, the responsibility falls directly upon those of us who are aware of the truth, and we must not shirk our responsibility to sound the warning to our relatives and neighbors, and above all, find the courage to do more than write and talk about the danger(s) we face, but add action to our beliefs and help to bring about an awakening in the United States that will ring-out and reverberate throughout the country. Yes, we can do it, but it won’t be easy, but the fruits of failure are so impossible to imagine that I believe the American people, acting together, can and will take action in support of our beliefs and work to restore our constitutional standards and the rule of law to a nation that has lost its way.

I’m a firm believer in the separation of church and state, however, if a pastor knows that a tornado is heading directly toward his church, does he ignore it and pray that God will spare his congregation, or will he sound a warning for his parishioners to seek cover until the storm has passed? One of the ways that we can spread the word is through the real churches that believe in the true beliefs of Christianity – not the radical evangelicals that support war in the Middle-East to “help” bring-on the second coming of Christ; if you believe in God, then you know that he doesn’t need any help in bringing about his wishes – and ever since I was a child I was taught that “God helps those who help themselves,” and as grim as the real news is, we need all of the help we can get, and that includes America’s thousands of churches whom truly adhere to the teachings of Christ.

We all know that Bush and Cheney are being urged by Israel to attack Iran, being told that if we don’t do it, they will do it themselves. The probability of war is so thick right now that it’s being written about all over the world, yet Americans see little evidence in our own news that an attack is right around the corner, and the consequences of such an attack will forever change the face of the United States. Don’t take my word for it, read it yourselves, and then print this article and give it to your neighbor, and ask your pastor to sound the alarm as well. As Americans who believe in the rule of law, like our Congress, it is our duty to help to stave off war, and hoping that Congress or someone else will do it has proven to be fruitless, akin to expecting President Bush to tell the truth instead of constantly lying to the public and destroying everything that Americans cherish and believe in, including our belief that no one is above the law, and that includes the President of The United States!

In the past 72 hours, the rhetoric is reaching a feverish pitch, and Congress is vacationing while our economy is crumbling and America is marching toward another war, this one which will make gas and food so expensive that it will cause riots and poverty that will make the Great Depression seem minor in comparison. We have almost no food reserves, millions are losing their homes, and the task of feeding our families and keeping gas in our cars is becoming a national nightmare – and all of this has happened before the first bomb has fallen, which should make it obvious that if Bush attacks Iran, our ability to exist as a free and independent society will be compromised and likely lost forever! Be honest with yourselves; there’s nothing left in the treasury, our troops are strained to the limit, and the United Nations has warned that attacking Iran will turn the Middle-East into a “Ball of Fire!

Read the war rhetoric that has been authored in the past few days, and whether you believe in God or not, it’s time to enlist everyone you know, churches, unions, social groups, anyone and everyone that wishes to exist in a free and democratic society and warn them that we are directly in the path of a “tornado” of hate, loathing and greed, all of it brought upon us by a President that refuses to honor our Constitution and the rule of law. It’s also important to know exactly “who” President Bush is, and what his family has stood for, and by understanding their history, it becomes even more imperative to stop him dead in his tracks and instead of “appeasing” President Bush as happened in 1933 with Prescott Bush, this time we need to prosecute the fascists that are attempting to overthrow America!

Bush Fulfills His Grandfather’s Dream

David Swanson, June 27, 2008

It’s remarkably common for a grandson to take up his grandfather’s major project. This occurred to me when I read recently of Thor Heyerdahl’s grandson taking up his mission to cross the Pacific on a raft. But what really struck me was the BBC story aired on July 23rd, 2007, documenting President George W. Bush’s grandfather’s involvement in a 1933 plot to overthrow the U.S. government and install a fascist dictatorship. I knew the story, but had not considered the possibility that the grandson was trying to accomplish what his grandfather had failed to achieve.

Prescott Sheldon Bush (1895 to 1972) attended Yale University and joined the secret society known as Skull and Bones. Prescott is widely reported to have stolen the skull of Native American leader Geronimo. As far as I know, this has not actually been confirmed. In fact, Prescott seems to have had a habit of making things up. He sent letters home from World War I claiming he’d received medals for heroism. After the letters were printed in newspapers, he had to retract his claims.

If this does not yet sound like the life of a George W. Bush ancestor, try this on for size: Prescott Bush’s early business efforts tended to fail. He married the daughter of a very rich man named George Herbert Walker (the guy with the compound at Kennebunkport, Maine, that now belongs to the Bush family, and the origin of Dubya’s middle initial). Walker installed Prescott Bush as an executive in Thyssen and Flick. From then on, Prescott’s business dealings went better, and he entered politics.

Now, the name Thyssen comes from a German named Fritz Thyssen, major financial backer of the rise of Adolph Hitler. Thyssen was referred to in the New York Herald-Tribune as “Hitler’s Angel.” During the 1930s and early 1940s, and even as late as 1951, Prescott Bush was involved in business dealings with Thyssen, and was inevitably aware of both Thyssen’s political activities and the fact that the companies involved were financially benefiting the nation of Germany. In addition, the companies Prescott Bush profited from included one engaged in mining operations in Poland using slave labor from Auschwitz. Two former slave laborers have sued the U.S. government and the heirs of Prescott Bush for $40 billion. MUCH MORE

After you’ve read that article, it’s easier to understand why everything seems to be falling apart, and Bush is intent on starting another war so he can declare martial law and finish fulfilling his Grandfather’s legacy. Three years ago, those of us that predicted President Bush’s invasion of Iraq was a precursor to war with Iran were called “conspiracy nuts”; now, war with Iran appears to be inevitable, and it could happen at any moment – and only you and “the people” can stop it before it starts. Below are several must-read articles that indicate that war is only a millimeter away:

Congress Rushes to Encourage Iran Attack

Report: U.S. ‘preparing the battlefield’ in Iran

Iran to ready thousands of graves for enemy soldiers

Iran: If attacked, we’ll hit Israel, close oil passage

Iran ready to strike at Israel’s nuclear heart

Cheney, being the “Patriot” he is, actually attempted to block our negotiations and tentative peace deal with North Korea, demonstrating that in his case- a Neo-con doesn’t doesn’t change his stripes, unless doing so would further his warmongering agenda; I believe that Bush, in a sick sort of way, actually believes some of the garbage he is spewing, but has no understanding of anything more complex than “My Pet Goat” – more proof that he is nothing more than a puppet in the Bush crime family. Cheney appears to be the epitome of evil, snarling at his critics and not caring about next years elections; after all, he’s made his fortunes and believes that he can disappear while the investigation proceeds into his “shadow government” that is itching to take-over our democratic nation just as soon as the Bush puppet is called-in in to make a decision:

Dick Cheney ‘tried to block North Korea nuclear deal’

By Philip Sherwell in New York
Last Updated: 6:51PM BST 28/06/2008

Vice President Dick Cheney fought furiously to block efforts by Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to strike a controversial US compromise deal with North Korea over the communist state’s nuclear programme, the Telegraph has learned.

“The exchanges between Cheney’s office and Rice’s people at State got very testy. But ultimately Condi had the President’s ear and persuaded him that his legacy would be stronger if they reached a deal with Pyongyang,” said a Pentagon adviser who was briefed on the battle.

Mr Cheney’s office is believed to have played a key role in the release two months ago of documents and photographs linking North Korea to a suspected nuclear site in Syria that was bombed by Israeli jets last year. MUCH MORE

Most of the evidence is here, and it points directly to war with Iran. It’s time for Americans to understand the consequences of such a war, and in doing do, the goosebumps on your back will Haunt you as reality begins to sink-in and you understand that America will effectively reach “third world Status” and we will be as poor and destitute as the many nations that we have helped throughout history that couldn’t't seem to pull themselves out from under inflation and living conditions that shocked the conscience of the average American:

Opinion & Editorial: Iran invasion would bring fatal consequences

By Monty Rohde (Excerpts)

When the media considers how the Iranians could respond, it generally only speculates on the Iranians responding passively and ceasing oil production. According to CNN, the result would be an immediate 5 percent drop in the global supply, which could cause prices to rise in excess of $60 a barrel, creating a minor pain for Americans at the gas pump. This scenario is dangerously optimistic. The hardliners controlling the Iranian government will not react timidly. While the Iranian military lacks the sheer power of the American armed forces, it does not need to match strength for strength.

After American or Israeli forces attack, the Iranians will likely retaliate using ballistic missiles, attacking Israeli cities and American bases around the Persian Gulf. Attacks against Israel should prove ineffective. Iran has a small inventory of missiles that have the necessary 1,300 km range to strike targets within Israel, according to Globalsecurity.org, and since the First Gulf War, Israel has developed an effective anti-ballistic-missile program. The Iranians do have a sizable arsenal of shorter-range missiles that could be used to strike American targets in Iraq.

Although Patriot Missile batteries proved effective against Iraqi missiles in the second Gulf War, it may be possible to overwhelm individual batteries. Only 54 such batteries were deployed during the second Gulf War, defending staging areas in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. There are likely fewer systems in theater at the moment, and American bases are dispersed throughout Iraq, making them harder to protect. By firing enough missiles into the Green Zone in Baghdad, the Iranians could decapitate the Iraqi government and kill a large number of American military leaders. MUCH MORE This is an excellent article and delves into the 12 consequences, and the impact on our way of life is breathtaking!

This is meant to be a sister article to “Independence Day Is Coming – Let’s Make It A Real Day For America’s Independence!” and “Call to Action July 4th- Get off the internet, I’ll see you in the streets!” Whether the Truckers strike is immaterial; we need them just as they need us, but after you read and understand “why” it’s so urgent to stop Bush from Bombing Iran, it is apparent that in order to quash his warmongering and attempts at overthrowing Democracy in America, to do nothing is literally suicide for our country as a whole – and while the rich may survive, the Middle-class and poor will be in a panic just to figure out how to feed our families and find the money to get to work.

Celebrate the 4th of July this year with a renewed vigor and spirit. Remember the principles and beliefs that caused our nation to be created with a constitutional framework to guarantee that tyranny could never show its ugly head here, but now, without a free press, the people are largely ignorant and believe many the lies the Bush administration publishes on a daily basis through their bought and paid-for MSM. Further, when and if you protest, don’t forget the MSM who are as guilty and complicit as Bush himself – and as they cut jobs by the thousands, remind them that one network could dominate everyone else if they would just “sound the alarm” and report the truth to the bulk of the population and state exactly what is at stake and the true price for failure.

On Tuesday, when it’s time to go to work, eat some tomatoes during the holiday weekend, and call in sick with salmonella that the CDC can’t seem to pin-down, but has nevertheless affected over thirty-three states. Yes, you’ll lose some wages, but knowing that higher gas and food prices are right around the corner mitigate any money you might lose in the short-term, and Congress and this Presidency need to be reminded that it’s “we the people” who own and operate America, not them. A simple work-stoppage will send a message and will force Congress to take immediate action. This nation doesn’t operate without the people working diligently to keep things flowing, and now, our efforts are supporting nothing but war and financial collapse – so what’s the point?

This could be one of our last chances to make a difference before the Middle-East, and possibly the United States on our own mainland, are embroiled in a war that will destroy what’s left of our country. Most of you have children, grandchildren, and family that will be sucked into the system as the draft will be re-implemented to support another war – and our quality of life will be one that should make everyone shudder. Mine is only one idea, however, there are organizers and activists that can take this framework of protest and turn it into a reality – but it will take your support and understanding that if we fail to act, like the Jews in Germany, we are sealing our fate by “hoping” that someone brings sanity to Washington, which so far, has been a pipe-dream that has done nothing but further allow Bush to retain and grab more power to effectively complete his Grandfather’s legacy -one that is contrary to the American way of life and is treasonous when we look into the may ways that Bush has dismantled our system of checks and balances and made the United States the Fourth Reich, all the while condemning other nations for curtailing the freedom of its countrymen, a project that PNAC and Bush have been working on for decades. It’s also time to put out collective foot down and demand that Congress vote for the health and safety of the American people, not the interests of AIPAC and the radicals that are taking over Israel much as they have in our nation.

The evidence and substantiation is here. You can choose to watch our society implode with other war, or you can act as patriotic Americans and do whatever it takes to make Washington vote the will of the people, and don’t forget, even for a second, that the United States belongs to us, not the politicians and elitists that are running our country into the ground!

Independence Day is coming, and as Americans, we must re-declare that independence and refuse to knuckle-under to AIPAC and the lobbyists that are spending millions to keep the government from halting oil speculation, the true reason why gas and diesel prices are rising faster than our ability to cope with their rise. Read the above articles in-depth, and understand that it’s not me that predicting war with Iran, but Israel, the United States, and most of the global news media that still prints much of the truth, making our own MSM seem insignificant and ineffective. We owe it to ourselves, but even more, we owe it to our children and grandchildren, and the countless hundreds of thousands whom have died in the pursuit of liberty and freedom.

We have all written about the crimes perpetrated against the American people and the global community by the Bush administration, and to be honest, there is already enough evidence to impeach either of these criminals if Congress would vote their duty and the will of the American people. Do your part. Take the time to email this article to your favorite site administrator, Congressman, or Union Representative or any other way you can think of to muster the support we need to make a strike a reality and bring an end the the abuses in Washington. Today was Independence Day, and it’s time that we make it stand for something other then vacations and lining the pockets of our Legislators and Oil Companies.

Enough is enough. Google “Food Shortage” and you will be astounded by the results. The time to take action is now, and we have the ability to make a difference – by simply taking the time to turn concern into action, and action into results. Complacency today could result in your own family facing food shortages – and the US is not immune to the specter or food riots and decreased and expensive food – something none of us are prepared to deal with as gas keeps rising and we have the lowest stock of food on hand on in over 43 years. We all love our country and would die to protect liberty and democracy, but hoping that someone else will come to our rescue has now been proven to be a falsehood – and that includes our own Congress! The jigs up; there is no more time. All of the words have been written that are necessary for us to make a difference – and now we need to act upon our beliefs in “The American Way” and support our Constitution and the rule of law. The family you same may be your own.

Enjoy the rest of your holiday, and then let’s take back our nation and demand that Congress fulfill its duty and necessity to represent the people of this nation rather than AIPAC and special interest groups. Good luck, and don’t forget that millions of other Americans are also searching for an answer to an administration that seems bent on destroying everything we believe in.

Actually, Bush is merely helping America destroy itself.

Not to nitpick, but it can’t be stressed enough that Bush is only one “man”. Of course you’re right to implicate Congress and the MSM, but the malaise goes way beyond that.

Where are our Courts? Where are the mass military resignations, “combat refusals”, etc.? Where are the “insider” “whistleblowers” from NIST, FBI, NTSB or anywhere else? Where’s our Academe? Basically the whole “system” (i.e., all of our institutions), has failed spectacularly.

Put simply, America’s sins have apparently caught up with it, and Bush looks to be the instrument of our demise.

And to all of the above institutions you mentioned – it’s time for all of you to enter the fray. Do your duty as an Americans. When Martial Law is declared, do you know the exact political leanings of all of your family members? What web sites have they been to, what comments have they made? Police officers, while carrying out one of the last “Operation Falcon Runs” will find-out that other units have “disappeared” members of their own families. How will they feel then?

Of our men and women in uniform; how many of them have Moms, Dads, Sisters and Brothers – many of whom have been verbal opponents of the war. How will we fight the so-called” enemy” abroad when our own enemy is locking up freedom loving people right at home? Politics within a family, especially if the children disagree with the parents, is often hidden from other family members, and it is those who have had the courage to speak-out who will become targets – and like the civil war, brother will be pitted against brother.

President Bush has the worst ratings of any President in history, and Cheney fares worse. We can all see what’s happening, and everyone here can read the news, especially that which comes from overseas and is more informative than ours. Why are we so apathetic that we won’t engage in a simple work stoppage to drive our point home, and it would only take a few days for the message to ring across the entire country, and our cowardly Congress would be forced to act! The pain we would feel now is nothing compared to what it will be like if we attack Iran, and for us to remain complacent and refuse to do anything meaningful is not the American Way!

With the history of Germany embedded in our consciousness, how can we sit idly by while the US is marching in exactly the same fashion, and it is only a matter of time until disagreeing with the government becomes a criminal matter that will require “re-education?” For those of us that ply the news attempting to make a difference, the consequences could be even worse, yet we sit and “hope” that everything will be OK when the preponderance of the evidence speaks otherwise! We all need to gaze in our collective mirrors and ask ourselves what will be lost if we simply refuse to go to work until Congress does the same – not with hollow promises but action that is based upon the requirements of the Constitution and the rule of law. When you’re looking into that mirror, forget yourself and try to get a glimpse of your children’s future, which we are still charged with forming, and standing-by while our country is being destroyed without so much of a whimper does not befit us as Americans.

Email all of the heavyweights, David Swanson, Alex Jones, Ariannia Huffington, and contact the site owners of those whom receive millions of hits per day; ask them to editorialize on the same subject with a target of a work stoppage until Congress bends to the will of the people beginning on the seventh (7th) of July. The polls indicate the entire country believes we are heading in the wrong direction, and a November election will not stave-off a war with Iran! The decision is yours, but again, what have you got to lose? This is a matter that could be organized in days, and all it takes if for everyone reading this post to act upon it and forward it to people who can make a difference – and there’s an abundance that could band-together and make it happen! Cross-post this message everywhere, and demand solidarity within our own ranks! It’s not rocket science, but simple mechanics of people taking the time to email their site administrators and everyone that can spread the word- and viola! A non-violent protest is born that our MSM and Congress could not ignore, and we can make our voices heard!

Attempting to save our nation is a personal decision, but we can all see what has happened to our country in the past seven and a half years, and we know, without doubt, that Congress will not act unless forced to do so – and it’s us who can force their hands. Think about your family and take the time to at least try; if enough of you send those emails and voice your support, even to those who I have listed, a movement could begin to finally do something other than watch in horror as everything we hold dear is being swallowed-up and systematically destroyed. If we’re going to be victims, the least we can do is go down knowing that we did our best and had the gumption to do more than talk – to do less is to invite disaster of a scope that hasn’t been witnessed in our country for over 200 years, and even if we’re successful, the road back to prosperity and sanity will be long and arduous..

They are pretty words, Bill, but the truth of the matter is that W. will walk out the White House without Congress having given him so much as a slap on the wrist.
By that time, if the plan for war with Iran goes through, and it very much looks like it will, what everybody thinks about W. won’t matter anymore because the United States, as a world power will be effectively over.
There is only so much debt a nation can accumulate, there is only so much bad management a nation can allow, there is only so much political complicity required to turn the best country [not that I believe that the US ever could lay claim to the title] into a smoldering heap of ruin.

Look at Zimbabwe. Once the bread-basked of Africa, it has been reduced, in very short order, into a poverty-stricken shadow of itself.

The US is heading that way and because of the indeed criminal complicity of the mainstream media, the American people one day is going to wake up and ask itself what the [rhymes with duck] happened to the country. It will be far too late and it will be impossible to reverse the course of the country.
The big experiment has ended, it now only takes the final act to be played out on the world stage and the United States, as every other empire before it, will be one for the history books.

I only observe, I do not gloat. The collapse of the greatest economy on the planet will have global repercussions that are going to hurt everybody.

It did not have to be this way, it only required a well-educated populace with the temerity to speak truth to power whenever truth needs to be spoken to power.

Those with a personal god will have a lot to talk about.

I wave at the US as it slowly fades into that long Good Night. I have loved it dearly and passionately and I have met some of the finest people I know there.

    This time though…
