No matter what segment of the news that Americans attempt to read, we are constantly assailed with Israel beating the War Drums against Iran, all the while expecting (demanding?) the United States to step-in and save their nation if Israel decides to attack Iran unilaterally. The War agenda appears to be gaining momentum – even more so then when we had an ignorant Texan as President whom did his best to destroy our economy and constitution – and Bush, without even being able to speak the English language correctly somehow bought, bribed, threatened and cajoled the GOP to follow his mission of destruction to our Civil Liberties and even the way that we live – now several notches below what it used to be…
On Friday The Guardian ran an article that reeked of sensationalism and speculation claiming that sanctions would not work against Iran and the United States would be left with “no option but to launch an attack on Iran or watch Israel do so.” Please note that the title of this article references Israel’s “War against Iran;” make no mistake, even though the missiles aren’t flying yet and a “shooting war” hasn’t yet begun, there is no question or doubt that Israel is waging a covert War against Iran, witnessed by covert attacks on missile facilities and other industries, not to mention the murder of three (3) Iranian Nuclear Scientists using Mossad tactics of using motorcycles to effectuate their murders through bombs – and it keeps escalating. From Iran’s standpoint this is being viewed as a quasi declaration of war just as any other sovereign nation would believe:
US officials believe Iran sanctions will fail, making military action likely
• Growing view that strike, by Israel or US, will happen
• ‘Sweet spot’ for Israeli action identified as September-October
• White House remains determined to give sanctions time
Officials in key parts of the Obama administration are increasingly convinced that sanctions will not deter Tehran from pursuing its nuclear programme, and believe that the US will be left with no option but to launch an attack on Iran or watch Israel do so.
The president has made clear in public, and in private to Israel, that he is determined to give sufficient time for recent measures, such as the financial blockade and the looming European oil embargo, to bite deeper into Iran’s already battered economy before retreating from its principal strategy to pressure Tehran.
But there is a strong current of opinion within the administration – including in the Pentagon and the state department – that believes sanctions are doomed to fail, and that their principal use now is in delaying Israeli military action, as well as reassuring Europe that an attack will only come after other means have been tested.
“The White House wants to see sanctions work. This is not the Bush White House. It does not need another conflict,” said an official knowledgeable on Middle East policy. “Its problem is that the guys in Tehran are behaving like sanctions don’t matter, like their economy isn’t collapsing, like Israel isn’t going to do anything.
“Sanctions are all we’ve got to throw at the problem. If they fail then it’s hard to see how we don’t move to the ‘in extremis’ option.”
The White House has said repeatedly that all options are on the table, including the use of force to stop Iran obtaining a nuclear weapon, but that for now the emphasis is firmly on diplomacy and sanctions. MUCH MORE
The movement toward war is frightening enough without Israel attempting to drag the United States into doing their dirty work through subterfuge and deception, always believing they can manipulate the United States by using their hole card – AIPAC. It’s unfortunate, but AIPAC has been a thorn in our side for far too many decades. Like Corporate America, Israel “buys” the votes it needs in Congress to garner U.S. support for their nefarious activities rather than allowing Congress to debate the merits of their issues rather than how much money they have contributed to the United States Congress. AIPAC, in this author’s opinion, is just slightly less insidious than the Chamber of Commerce – and both are Lobbying organizations that represent Wall Street and the Elites, not the people.
While most Americans believe that Israel is an ally I do not believe this is true. Israel has no compunction against using dirty tactics to protect their own national interests as evidenced by the False Flag Attack against the USS Liberty on June 8, 1967, during the Six-Day War. You would think that Israel would learn from their mistakes, and as you read the below facts, ask yourselves whether Israel is a friend or enemy:
January 15, 2012
MEDIA ROOTS — RT reported yesterday how Israeli “Mossad intelligence officers posed as CIA agents in order to recruit and train Iranian terrorists…” This comes after reports surfaced of Obama deploying thousands of troops to Israel in apparent preparation for a potential standoff with Iran.
Both Israel and its Mossad are funded billions of dollars annually by the U.S. and CIA. As the U.S. Empire projects its hegemony across the globe under pretext of humanitarian intervention, U.S. allies like Saudi Arabia and Israel routinely engage in atrocities and crimes against humanity, revealing the hypocrisy of U.S. foreign policy.
Meanwhile, Glenn Greenwald wrote about the recent murder of multiple Iranian scientists by “some combination of Israel and the U.S.“ Western forces have a long history of disruptive intervention against Iranian sovereignty, including the CIA coup against Mosaddegh in ’53.
The current killing of Iranian nuclear scientists in the midst of sanctions, threats, and intimidation against Iran amounts to covert warfare. Then Obama signs the NDAA provisions, among other things, barring transfer of detainees and insuring Gitmo’s operations bolstering perpetual war. One detects an overarching theme to Obama’s Presidential leadership and Executive decision-making, namely—imperialism and covert warfare abroad and class warfare domestically. LINK
WTF? Israel seems to be up to their old tricks again, but in this instance, I find it ludicrous to believe that the United States was unaware of Israel using our name to recruit terrorists against the Iranian Regime. Israel has covert forces inside Iran as does the United States, and I’d bet that U.S. operatives outnumber their Israeli counterparts. That said, is the U.S. government attempting to inform the people that our intelligence apparatus didn’t have a clue as to Israel’s subterfuge and we only recently learned of the deception? Excuse my French – but Bullshit! If this sham went undetected I wouldn’t give .25 cents for the entire NSA/CIA apparatus, and all of us had better hope that if real terrorists (besides Israel) attempt another attack on our nation, besides those never-ending FBI stings where they set-up mentally deficient individuals and con them into believing that they an attack on the United States is in their best interests – not to mention giving the people a warm and fuzzy feeling that “America is being protected from Terrorists.”
One more thought… This post could lead an uninformed individual that I am prejudiced against Jews – and nothing could be further from the truth. I am not anti-Semitic in any way, form, or fashion. Over the past few years I have had many positive things to state about Israel – but never in all the years of writing have I had one good word for the War-mongers called “Zionists.” I despise AIPAC because they buy what they want rather than earn it, and Israel, on several different occasions, has been found to be spying on their number one ally – The United States. Israel, by and through their politics and aggression has made themselves the most hated nation in the Middle-East, and as an added bonus to aid their war effort, the Israeli’s are attempting to drag us into this conflict whether we want to or not.
BTW, I also despise the Rothchild’s, but so do most Jews that actually know their history of funding both sides of a war, or creating one when it benefits them financially. The Rothchild’s have never been a friend to anything but wealth and power, and they damn sure haven’t been a friend to Israel or anyone else unless it directly benefits them financially.
Based on what I’ve been reading and understand, if Israel decides to attack Iran unilaterally, then let them do it, and suffer the consequences for believing that they could blackmail the United States into possibly starting World War III. This is not our war!
