Mr. President you know well about the awful situation in Iran .You have better access to the information regarding Iranian prisons, you know Ahmadinejad and Khamenehee’s atrocities better than all of us. You are aware of the gross human rights violations in Iran. Our hope was that you would get elected and we would see the reformers winning in Iran. We hoped that there would be a rapprochement and that with time both countries set their differences aside and that eventually the relationship between Iran and the US get better and normalize.

Now that we know Bush is planning on implementing Martial Law, more than likely to ensure his reign of power, what is the average and especially those who have spoken against him to do?

The Congress seems to have been blackmailed with threats of martial law if they didn't pass the bailout program. This is the beginning of the end for freedom and accountability in America.

Everyone is worrying about an "October Surprise." Part of that surprise was revealed yesterday, and it has dire implications and demonstrates the government is expecting "something big" to happen in the US. Bush is over-playing his hand on the financial crisis and is effectively scaring-off much of the foreign help that we may need to weather this crisis.

Hugo Chavez is turning out to be a major thorn in the side of the United States. He is stealing from other nations under the guise of nationalization, wants oil prices to increase, and never quits poking us with a stick, much as Bush and Cheney have done with Russia. The results were disastrous for Georgia, and Mr. Chavez should note that any superpower tires of being poked and prodded by those who are insignificant in the real reigns of power.
