During the next week, we will be working on the site and attempting to activate a new “News Theme” which we purchased to enhance and simplify your visit to The Political Bandit/Justanothercoverup.
We are proudly hosted by BlueHost.com and for the last couple of years, have been hosted on a high-speed, high-capacity server. We understand how frustrating it is to wait up to 30 seconds for a web page to load, and during high traffic periods, that wait can even be longer, thus our decision to migrate to a faster server. If there are ever any problems with the site, or you cannot access it for any reason, please email us at administrator@thepoliticalbandit.com and we will correct the problem immediately after receiving notification.
During the next week, it’s possible you will see different formats being tested that are not labeled as The Political Bandit; (and some that are) please be advised that it is us, and while testing the five themes we purchased, we will not “rename” the theme(s) until we are satisfied that it works correctly and enhances the overall appearance and usability of the site.
We are attempting to place all of our advertising with Google; there are different automatic programs that manage said advertising, and while it may seem simple, we are not “Webmasters” and have to learn as we upgrade our software and appearance. We would rather not have any advertising on this site; we do not solicit donations, and running a site that’s as fast as this one is not cheap and it would be nice if we could break even, which has never happened throughout our five years of writing. Our host states that we are somewhat unique; i.e., last month, the average visitor was here 2.19 visits/visitor and read 8.07 Pages/Visit. Our audience does not come here to click on ads, but read multiple posts – and based on that, we may make the decision to drop all advertising. We have not made a decision yet, but again, since we do not solicit donations, any income we receive will enhance the site, not our wallets. Any user can ask for our income from our ads and we will be happy to provide that information. The bottom line is that we lose money every month, and we have for the past five years. BTW, we are not complaining. This site was created to inform the public, and it was never our intent to make a profit, so in that regard I guess we’ve been extremely successful. (LOL)
Again, we would appreciate any suggestions that will improve the quality of our site. For those in the US, we hope you are enjoying Spring Break.

NOTE: We also have to re-categorize all of the posts, and that is a major job in itself.
We have also installed a program ( couple of hours ago) that indicates how many people are online at any given time, and the results are “live.” Furthermore, it only shows amount of visitors since the program was installed and allows us to analyze our traffic. If the site has to be brought down for maintenance, this program shows us the best time(s) to perform site maintenance that requires bringing the site offline. We are always less busy on the weekends, especially on Fridays and Saturdays; the end of the month is always an ideal time to perform maintenance, however, two members of my family in this household are having major surgery the last week of this month, so I’ll be extremely busy caring for recuperating relatives and that makes the end of the month unavailable for maintenance.
The theme that is running as you read this update is one that we’re seriously considering to use as our primary theme. I’m not overjoyed with the lime green, however, if we choose this format we will find out to change the color. If you have the time, please email us at administrator@thepoliticalbandit and let us know what your thoughts are on the new theme. We are upgrading our theme to facilitate an easier reading experience and if our audience doesn’t like it, we will change to another theme. Your input would be greatly appreciated!
Have a great weekend.
